HAL Building Paper is a breathable weather resistant membrane (WRB) made of high quality asphalt saturated kraft paper. It is designed to shed water and restrict moisture from penetrating, while allowing the passage of water vapour by diffusion through the membrane to the exterior. HAL 30 Minute, and 60 Minute Building Paper meet and exceed all industry standards.
The 30 Minute Heavy Breathable Building Paper is a grade D, heavy kraft paper that has been saturated with asphalt. It provides up to 30 minutes of water resistance by shedding water and stopping moisture, while letting wood breathe by allowing water vapour to pass.
60 Minute, two-ply building paper is a weather-resistent barrier designed to provide excellent secondary protection behind exterior cladding to prevent moisture penetration and condensation in exterior wall assemblies.
